Application
Retreading is most reliable, safe and
cost-effective way to breathe new life into worn tyres. The "worn-out"
tread of the tyres is buffed away and replaced with brand new rubber
tread which is applied to the bare "casing". This process is
widely used in large-scale operations such as trucking, bussing and
commercial aviation. Santec's Precured Tread Rubber Molding Press are
the most environmental friendly way of recycling used tires. Some of the
requirements for rereading of tyres are:
The tyre was used correctly in its "first life", driven with
the right air pressure and treated with core.
The tyre frame, the carcass, is not seriously damaged.
Moreover, wheather a retreadable carcass can be reused depends on the
type of tyre.
The following retreading limits apply:
- Car Type : 1 Time
- Light Truck Tyre : Generally 1 time
- Truck Tyres : 1 to 3 times
- Aircraft Tyres : Upto 12 times
Construction:
- "C" Type Press Frame (Single side pressing)
- "I" Type (Both Side Pressing)
